EXAMS OVER

Exams over..but lets not talk about exams..
lets talk about global warming instead..set?

during the 3 days of exams..well actually is 4 days wif a one day break in the middle, i finished Micheal Crichton's State of Fear? Anyone read it? He's just a good author..but thats not the point..
anyways..
the book argues that global warming is not happening..and that there is no real evidence pointing towards global warming..
however..the author does believe that urbanization results in the surface warming..for instance over the past 100 years..New York's temperature has risen dramatically...while temperature of Nevada( basically a desert) has not risen since 100 years ago..and the book's character also pointed out that during the 100+ year since global temperature was available, there was a slight cooling in the years 1940-1970..which is evidence against global warming..and besides that for the last 30 years..sea levels have not risen AT ALL.
it says that global warming is a theory that is "media"lized and popularized by politicians..
it says that ordinary citizen which are bombarded by all the global warming frenzy, all became firm believers of global warming-they just accepted watever the media says..well..which to me is true...ppl hav this believe that if the media can say it..it must be well researched and a true fact

which i tell u..is wrong. Dead wrong. Believing in the book is also not right.
Then who do we believe in? Scientists? Well the book says most scientists are biased anyway..they are biased towards their funders-their research result tend to be what the funders want..coincident? Shit. I'm believing the book again. Come on. The author is AMERICAN after all..what can u except from a bloody American?

In the end i went to the net to find out about the sea level thingy..and guess wat?our sea level is indeed rising..and it has been rising with the same rate ever since we have the data of our sea level..which is like 1900..which is when industrialization just started..so the rise cannot be becaused of human-induced global warming..well guess guess he mistyped his book..should've been "rate of change of sea levels" have not change since long ago..hmm...of maybe he din type wrong..maybe the source i got is biased..its funded by environmental organizations..or maybe his' data is the one that is funded by industries..

oh well.
this is life.
There is no truth.

Haih...going back to singapore

i'm going back to Singapore tomolo, purposely stayed up tonight to enjoy World Cup ( this is my first 12.00 am world cup) and wat did Brazil give me? absolutely rubbish!!wth

today was Father's Day. And as usual, i did absolutely nothing besides wishing him Happy Father's Day. U know, if u start to do something on Father's Day..then u will be trapped for your entire life. Coz u will hav to continue doing something on Mother's Day as well..then the next year's Father's and Mother's day..then the next next year...then the next next next year as well...but well. since its only twice a year. It won't hurt to do something right? but if u ever decide to do something..well..dun be too ambitious.
Its just like when u are giving ur gf a present for her birthday..if u started giving small, reasonable things..then suddenly went and give her a diamond on a particular year..then she will expect a same valued present the next year..and the next..and the next..this is the perfect example of humans' instinct to "take it for granted"

anyway i woke up today..and i had this feeling that is undescribable..
the feeling u get when u must leave from a wonderful, perfect holiday..plus the feeling u get when u lose an important competition u could've won..
the feeling that u dunno wat to do and yet silently..u knew wat u should be doing..
well..
in conclusion..its a bad emotion to have.make someone feel damn down.

luckily hoai called..and i went 1U to fix her poster thing..
well..then later went and play Pool..and ate Oreo Cheese Cake..
haha..all of a sudden tat feeling that is consuming me just now vanished into thin air

well..guess the best way to fight sadness is to get busy..

well..then afterwards...we decided to go Tropicana and play squash ( we would be Weiliang me Yee Xian)then we player Ping Pong

then we wanted to play bowling..but sadly..it was full..sad case
but then it doesn't matter..coz my mood is already up and running

so Brazil pls dun spoil my day.

FRUSTATIONS..

Miami won. finally. 2-1 in the best of seven series. South Korea won 2-1 too. In the midst of silent cheering..i thought.. so what? So what if the South Korea win the World Cup? What do i gain from it? Then i realised that was very selfish..y can't i be genuinely happy for others even though i have nothing to gain for it? Then i realise again that what about Togo players who are sad..Y aren't i sad for them? Is discrimination at work here? Wats the meaning of all this? Wats the meaning of life for the football players?

Once i heard this conversation between a football player and another guy
Football player: Football IS my life
Another Guy: If Football is ur life..Man, U hav no life.

That statement sounds perfectly right doesn't it? But I ask u.. what is the defination of "having a life"?Well..that got me thinking...then in the end..
i realise something..
if football is ur life..then at least you are better than the majority of us..who hav no idea what defines their life..and that majority includes me..

What do i want to do with my life? Whats my ambition? What is my purpose?
I tell you..even God doesn't know.

So i'll just tag along with the concept of Marginal Utility, which states that if u make the most out of every second, then in the end, you will end up with the best situation u can end with..its just like saying..everyday u save 5 cents..in the end even though u never planned of saving a large amount of money, u will end up with a large saving accounts..which i think is quite true..although i think its just an excuse for people who cannot see the big picture all together..like me!!

ah..wats the use of typing of this crap out..its just an excuse from studying..

Faith

Sometimes u see ur friends who are firm believers of God..and u wonder..wat do they see in God?? Is God really that good...Can He really give u power when u are weak?? Give u power when u are down?? Sometimes i really wonder..what makes people take on a religion??? What made people believe in prophets in the first place..
Sometimes i would think...Would the world be a better place if there were no religion??
Religion is really breaking our world apart..Think Israel and Palestine..Jurusalem..Countless battles are fought for this holy land that i think the land is no longer holy..Crusades after crusades had happened in the past..Nowadays...the feud between Islam and Christianity is getting wider and wider as we speak..Religion has bonded people together no doubt..but when there is bonding..there will be breaking...Sometimes i would think...Would the world be a better place if there were no religion??

but i guess religion is just an excuse by barbaric people to fight...if there were no religion..no difference in skin colour..people will even fight for the colour of hair..

THE REVIVAL OF MY BLOG!!!

One year..356 days or 8544 hours or 512640 minutes or 30758400 seconds..this was how long this blog was abandoned..not anymore..because the day of redemption has come..MUAHAHAHAH

A lot of stuff happened in one year..i took SPM..got 12A1 1A2( bugger chinese), applied ASEAN pre-U scholarship, got it, accepted it and currently studying in TEMASEK Junior College..applied JPA, went for interview and got rejected..SPURS won the last NBA finals...at present Dallas is leading Miami Heat 2-0 at the 2006 NBA finals..and Australia just beaten Japan 3-1 in the world cup..and Czech is preparing to face USA in 18 minutes..bloody Americans..i hope they lose..

just kidding Americans..U know i love u!! u know i love ur democratic ways..your obsession with spending money...and your self indulgence that knows no bounds which is suffacating the world...literally..but oh well..since u are the big and mighty America..we can't afford to do anything right??

U know wat..i think the US should be trialed at the international court for not signing the Kyoto Protocol..Only an irresponsible, selfish developed nation like the US will refuse to sign the protocol..oh well wat do i know...i'm just an innocent bystander waiting to be choked to death by US's greenhouse gases..

US won't be the biggest enemy of the environment for long...just like China will eventually become the biggest economy of the world..it will also definately become the biggest producer of harmful gases to the world..watch out boys..because this world is doomed!!!
