Faith
Sometimes u see ur friends who are firm believers of God..and u wonder..wat do they see in God?? Is God really that good...Can He really give u power when u are weak?? Give u power when u are down?? Sometimes i really wonder..what makes people take on a religion??? What made people believe in prophets in the first place..
Sometimes i would think...Would the world be a better place if there were no religion??
Religion is really breaking our world apart..Think Israel and Palestine..Jurusalem..Countless battles are fought for this holy land that i think the land is no longer holy..Crusades after crusades had happened in the past..Nowadays...the feud between Islam and Christianity is getting wider and wider as we speak..Religion has bonded people together no doubt..but when there is bonding..there will be breaking...Sometimes i would think...Would the world be a better place if there were no religion??
but i guess religion is just an excuse by barbaric people to fight...if there were no religion..no difference in skin colour..people will even fight for the colour of hair..

Well, yes. God really can give you strength when you are weak and comfort you when you're down. He has really helped me through stuff I didn't think I could get over with. Without His grace, I wouldn't even have been born!

The thing I love about God that is just so wonderful is that despite Him being God, I can talk to Him as a father and a friend. He's this super guy who created everything, and yet He yearns to have a relationship with us, the carbon-based homosapiens he himself created.
Haha... I think the world would be a very confused place without religion. A lot of people even now in our civilised society constantly search for some truth to believe in. The solution? they make up their own beliefs and create their own religion. Anything can be a religion - football, money, alcohol, drugs, Internet, you name it, you've got it.
To me, my religion is not a "religion" religion. If Christianity was just belief, I would have dropped it and looked out for something else that would give me more for what I believe in! A lot of people think that Christianity is a religion, a collection of beliefs and principals.
But it's not and it never was. It's about a relationship with God, a living presence.
God is really amazing... It takes more than intellect to realise how much He loves you - to the point that it doesn't make any sense, it's not feasible. We question His validity, we wonder whether He really exists... is it mere fabrication by people who wanted so badly to believe in something?
I don't think so. All my life I've grounded myself in my faith, wondered about God, clung on to Him in my desperate moments... and I realised one thing:
He's always there when no one else is,
He's always listening when no one else is,
He's always caring when no one else is.
God loves you more than any person / girl could ever love you!
Btw, the wars were not caused by religion la. They were caused by something called e...g...o hehehehehe~ For Christianity, the bible teaches a lot about loving your enemy as you love yourself. Jesus himself didn't retaliate when he was wrongfully accused of blasphemy but said "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do". He didn't even let Peter cut off the ear of one of the soldiers who came to take him away. Islam teaches about "persaudaraan" I think. Sejarah textbook. :P So it clearly isn't religion, it's this thing called c...r...a...z...y h...u...m...a...n...s
