Taman Negara!!

although this happened a long long time ago..
i told someone(in email) that i'm gonna blog about this..
so here it goes!!

it was thursday and it was a public holiday so the four of us*see below*
decided to go taman negara.(google it if u dunno where it is)

We took my family's Volvo there.

the car journey there was pretty eventful..we had a leaking (dunno what it's called lar, it
s the container to fill the coolent in the car), had Yeow Hong gone missing, bought some onions, salt and fruits along the way too!

anyway we ended up at kuala tahan few minutes late for the 12.30pm boat ride to our "hostel"
so we ended up TOK-ing in the boat..

this is how we TOK in the boat while waiting for 3pm(the time when the boat was supposed to leave)

after reaching our "hostel" (we had a whole room to ourselves..in fact we had the whole "resort" to ourselves !!!)
we got ready for our first activity-warisan hill sunset hike.
and as soon as we went out..it rained!!! #*%(*&!!

but nvm..we very ON..hike in raincoat lor!!

basically the best part of the hike was this..we went up the wrong route..(we went up the "sunrise" trail) and ended up at a place where we thought was the peak..(we found out it was supposed to be peak after we got down)
then saky found a "path" towards the top..
basically the trail was just rocks..and we had to climb up on all fours(i definitely felt like frodo(me wei liang and sak were all wearing slippers, dun wan our shoes to get wet mar..it was raining, remember?)..but the scenery on top was definitely worth it!! its a case of Sai4 Weng1 Shi1 Ma3....

after we went down, we found out from the guides when we went down that that place wasn't meant for us to climb on our own..sometimes the guides will bring the tourists up that trail, guess in that case..we can be guides already =p)

anyway..
picture speaks louder than words(yeah i invented this phrase myself)....so yeah, enjoy!!

The scenery was breathtaking!! certainly worth risking our lives by going up this pretty crazy trail =p
the descent down..

dinner(cooked by ourselves) was spaghetti!! the cooking part was one of the highlights of this tour lol..a lot of funny stuff happen during cooking =p


anyway after that, we went for some sort of night safari..
the only thing we could saw was..
stars.(it was beautiful!! but u can see stars without going for the night safari...)
trees(lots and lots of them)
one or two slow loris(google it..nothing much to them...)
and a flying squirrel FLYING!!!
the sight was wonderful man..u will definitely gasp in amazement at the sight of a flying flying squirrel!!
i think that sight's worth a RM 30 lar..that said, the night safari is still RM10 overpriced!! =p
for those thinking of going Tmn Negara, go only if u feel very bored, and rich lar..the ride's not comfortable too...maybe for Wei Liang different lar =p(he got to lie down on top of the four wheel drive-no kidding!! beside a girl!!)

unfortunately, it was too dark for any photos to be taken..
too bad!!

Life is so fragile..

3 ppl died in a bus crash..AGAIN.

but this time..somehow, it is different..
one of the victims, Nian Ning, a Penangite studying medicine in Australia has received much attention...

i read her blog..
and i could really relate to her....
after reading her blog..
i went like wow..
its just like your blog, our blog, kenny sia's blog..
and in her xanga blog, her last entry was..coincidentaly, same as mine.....
and she's no longer in this world..
i am sad..
life is so fragile..
we need to treasure every second, every minute..
haih..
fucking(sorry rachel) bus driver..

i'm goin to mourn for her..

but what about all the other innocent people that dies on a daily basis? how come they don't seem that important??
i guess it's only human to care about what is close to you..
to care about what you can relate to...
hearing about all the killings in middle east doesn't affect us much right??
instead of broadcasting news from the middle east and discussing about the various implications and such, they should just show the blog of an ordinary citizen there..
you don't know..the blog might just change the world.

today first time went to Bukit Bintang area..wow..i'm impressed by the architectures of the buildings there...reminds me of Orchard Road..

My First Week!

Oo..
i tell you..
What we learn in form 5 Accounts is really useful..and relevant..so ppl dun forget what u learn!!

I mean..now that I've seen a real General Ledger, as well as all the other supporting documents(cash statement, invoices...that we see printed out in the question papers during our exams.) i can now understand our Form 5 accounts alot better. I guess its a case of better late than never(to finally understand what the form 5 accounts were about)

For once, A Financial Statement made sense to me!!! I finally realise whats the use of Kunci Kira Kira(Balance Sheet), Buku Tunai(Cash Flow Statment), Imbangan Duga(Trial Balance), and Penyata Kewangan(Income Statement)!!

yeah..in form 5 all we did was just follow blindly what teacher said without understanding..i'm sure its not just me who feel this way...haih...the failings of our education system..

well its still better then some country(i'm not saying which one) that doesn't have accounts as a subject. =p =p

its after all the basis for one to make investments and so forth..
after all we need all the financial literacy in this dog eat dog world right??
so that we can become rich and oppress the poor.

A Special week!!

What a week!!!!

1)you see a pontianak in the LRT, and the next thing you know, a big Pontianak poster is waiting for you at the ticketing counter....




















2)You start seeing your friends' name everywhere..





























Today was also the day i started working, and I only slept 2 hours yesterday trying to complete my Cornell application at the very very very last minute....(thanks Rachel for being there at 4 am!!)

anyway I was super tired..ended up like this in the office...















I hope the building doesn't catch fire while I'm inside...and did you know that U had to queue for LRT now?
